Mary Pat Lawlor

Mary Pat is a Program Manager in Administrative Services for Council Support and is supervising the staff and overseeing the work program for the Economic Development Department, specifically leading up the Regional Economic Strategy (CEDS) update. At PSRC, Mary Pat was a key staff member on the HUD Sustainable Communities Initiative (Growing Transit Communities), led key efforts in multiple transportation planning processes, and developed and launched PSRC’s inaugural agency-wide performance trends program. Mary Pat currently leads PSRC’s federal certification and tribal consultation efforts, and manages PSRC’s Regional Staff Committee. Mary Pat has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in planning, received AICP’s Outstanding Student Award at UW, and was an exchange fellow in Copenhagen. She has certificates in urban design, editing, mediation and negotiation, and business leadership communications from Harvard’s Continuing Education Program. Mary Pat was a Peace Corps Volunteer and trainer in the Solomon Islands, and has more than 25 years of professional planning experience in environmental, land use, transportation, and higher education in Phoenix, Seattle, and Fiji.
