Mark has been immersed in the world of fish and water for more than 2 decades, working most of that time with WWF International based in Switzerland, Ocean Conservancy, and now with Vulcan. His work has taken him around the world to protect ocean health and improve the sustainability of fisheries and aquaculture. Some favorite projects included promoting sustainable aquaculture in rural Vietnam and China, and helping pass and implement improved fisheries legislation in the US and EU. His passion for the underwater world led to swims around Bainbridge Island and the length of the Duwamish River, and a dive in a research submarine 10,000 feet below the ocean’s surface to a hydrothermal vent.
