Jennifer Davison
University of Washington Program Manager, Urban@UW
Seattle, WA
Jennifer Davison connects people and ideas across perspectives to help us realize a more sustainable and resilient world. With experience in software development, climate science, communications, and wilderness guiding, Davison develops collaborations to address complex issues: from helping environmental scientists share their work with decision-makers, to catalyzing conversations between community leaders and scholars on such topics as climate justice and homelessness. A systems-thinker, Davison has developed software in Silicon Valley, and led wilderness trips down rivers of the southwestern US. Her graduate research examined how wildlife and landscapes respond to climate change, working with stakeholders to create tools to manage resources impacted by global warming. At UW’s College of the Environment, Davison spearheaded the science communication program, providing opportunities, training, and support for scientists to engage with community. In her current work at Urban@UW, Davison enjoys collaborating to devise innovative and inclusive strategies to connect urban research and practice.
