America is experiencing a period of historic re-urbanization.  Residential and commercial properties that were previously affordable to lower income Americans, are now in demand - by white people - often referred to as 'gentrification.  But the arrival of doggie day-cares, yoga studios, and cafés was preceded by generations of brain-drain among a given community's brightest and hardest working individuals - creating a re-investment gap that paved the way for displacement.Keeping talent from leaving communities is related to lifestyle amenities not supported by governments or considered high-risk by banks, until it's too late.
